Supporting the concept development, strategic planning, implementation and post event evaluation of a major charity esports event in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Context and objectives
Portas was engaged to develop the concept, strategic objectives, content, budget and delivery plan for this novel global esports event. Our support included the development of a detailed business case to secure event approvals, capability and capacity building, vendor assessment and management, commercial advisory and post event reporting.
- Developed the event concept by defining the vision, objectives and targets through workshops, expert interviews, and global industry benchmarking.
- Designed the operational processes, organisational structure, governance model, detailed budget and revenue projections.
- Supported event planning and implementation through RFP development, proposal evaluation, vendor and staff onboarding and commercial business planning.
- Evaluated event performance by interviewing all stakeholders, analysing event data and benchmarking against similar events.
