Ally McDonald Alonso

Ally is the Communications and Events Manager based in the London office.

She a leading expert in Events, Marketing and Communications with 20 year’s experience. She started in Sports media, working at British Triathlon and English Institute of Sport. Ally also ran a successful events and wedding planning company, leading on over 200 events. 

Most recently, the University’s Head of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor – leading on senior recruitment, special projects including international delegations and major events such as Budapest World Athletics Celebration, The Queens Baton Relay and the launch of the Global Sport University Network. 

Ally has a BSc in Sport Science with Management and a Masters in Leadership and Management from Loughborough University. 

While at Loughborough Ally played and coached Lacrosse, winning BUCS as both. She also played lacrosse for Wales, including being part of the European Championship winning squad in Prague 2004.

Ally is a proud mother to her two children.
