Sameer Ahmed

Sameer is a Senior Project Manager based in the Dubai office.

Prior to joining Portas, he advised a range of public and private sector institutions on strategy, operations, business planning, transformation and implementation. Sameer most recently worked as the Director of Strategy for one of the UK’s leading artificial intelligence startups before which he was a consultant at McKinsey and Company in London. Prior to that, Sameer spent a decade as a corporate lawyer in London and New York, advising investors, sponsors and governments on the construction, financing and M&A of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Sameer holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

He is passionate about all sports and outdoor activities, but takes a particular interest in football, cricket, racquet sports and hiking/ mountaineering.
