Prior to joining Portas, Omar interned at Olayan Financing Company in the budgeting department, where he handled a variety of tasks related to forecasting.

Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. He was a professional handball player and competed in various tournaments.
