Elena is a Project Manager and a biomedical sciences expert specialised in supporting clients on the health impact of physical activity. She leads our work and wider research on health and physical activity and has advised governments, cities, and national and international federations on their role in improving the health and wellbeing of society.
Elena is a serving board member of The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMPSA). She is passionate about supporting the next generation of young people to have better access to sports and physical activity.
Prior to joining Portas, she gained experience in the health sector throughout her roles at GlaxoSmithKline and health technology start-ups.
Elena is a graduate from the University of Manchester where she received a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. She is also a passionate dancer and was the teacher and captain of the University of Manchester contemporary dance team.
