Before joining Portas, Richard spent 2.5 years as a consultant at Oliver & Ohlbaum and 3.5 years at Manchester United, working in commercial strategy. He designed a 3-5 year D2C strategy and secured a £235m shirt sponsor for Manchester United. Richard also advised private equity clients on investments across Premiership Rugby and MotoGP and advised on the sale of TV rights for the Premier League, Bundesliga, and English Football League.
Richard holds a 2:1 in French with Economics from the University of Bristol. He has completed 6 marathons and is a regular triathlon participant.
