Patrick Massey

Patrick is a Partner at Portas. He leads Portas’ business the UK, Europe and Americas. He also leads our work in football, rugby and women’s sport globally. He has expertise in strategy and planning, revenue and cost optimisation, leagues and competitions, and growth strategy.

Patrick has served as a senior advisor to leading international federations, national federations, leagues, clubs and investors. He has supported 30+ clients to develop overall and functional strategic plans, advised 10+ leagues globally on their strategies, business plans, format and governance, and delivered significant and complex changes such as agreeing global calendars, major competitions, new revenue streams and transformational cost savings. He is passionate about women’s sport and been at the forefront of the professional, commercial and sporting development of many women’s sports, particularly football and rugby.

Before joining Portas, Patrick worked as a Senior Manager at Accenture and is currently a trustee at the Women’s Sport Trust.

Patrick holds a First Class Masters of Chemistry degree from Durham University. He enjoys running, hiking, and skiing.
