Lynn Clarke serves as the Global Financial Controller at Portas, bringing 36 years of extensive global experience in both practice and industry. Prior to her role at Portas, she was a Finance Manager at a niche PR firm focused on education and received her training at KPMG. Lynn Clarke is the Global Financial Controller at Portas, overseeing the financial accounting records for all seven Portas entities. She ensures timely completion of group company audits and statutory reports, and manages key financial processes including payroll, tax, and supplier payments. Joining Portas when it had just one office in London, Lynn has been pivotal in the company’s expansion, playing a crucial role in establishing offices in Dubai, Singapore, KSA, Japan, and Abu Dhabi. She developed the company’s finance processes, implemented CMAP, trained staff, set up payroll systems across regions, and transitioned the accounting software from QuickBooks to Xero.
Before her tenure at Portas, Lynn was a Finance Manager at a specialized PR firm in education, trained at KPMG, worked in corporate finance at Kleinwort Benson, and gained financial accounting experience at Du Pont. She passed her ACA exams on the first attempt and represented her university in squash, where her team was runners-up at the BUCS National competition.
Lynn holds a 2:1 BSc Honors in Business Economics from the University of Cardiff and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA).
