Joe Carey

Joe has previously worked on long-term strategic planning for Middle East sports entities at Portas, including governing bodies and National Olympic Committees. He has supported the development of a 5-year strategic plan for a sports federation, led the design and development of business plan templates and budget models to be used by 70+ sports federations, and developed the evaluation model used by a National Olympic Committee to assess sport federation business plans. Joe has also led the design of the optimal event calendar for a sports federation in the Middle East, ensuring a balanced mix in type, level, target audience, and seasonality, and supported a full governance and operational review for a sports entity in KSA.

Joe holds a First-Class Honours degree in Politics, International Relations, and Spanish from Durham University. He represented Durham University in rugby and cricket.
