Ali is currently leading the Major Events practice, advising on performance management of national sporting event agendas, as well as the planning and execution of elite international events in KSA. He is also advising various entities on their sports asset configuration and activation (e.g., training centers) as well as developing various sub-sectors strategies, including a cycling strategy for a tourism destination more recently.
Before joining Portas, Ali worked in management consulting, focusing on strategy and operating models across various sectors (Retail, Aviation, Non-Profit and Public Sector). He started his career in performance management with regional roles in the TMT and Retails sectors.
Ali holds an MS in Engineering from École supérieure d'ingénieurs de Beyrouth and an MBA from INSEAD. He is an outdoor enthusiast and has climbed two of the seven summits in the world.
