Before joining Portas, Alexis spent 20 years at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he led the transformation of their Ticketing and Hospitality business, including the appointment of their first-ever global hospitality partner, On Location. He led the IOC's fan experience businesses for 10 Olympic Games in 9 countries. Prior to the IOC, Alexis was a senior manager at the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games Organizing Committee and worked for IBM on their TOP sponsorship of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Alexis holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Business Certificate from Kenan-Flagler Business School. He played soccer for the division 1 nationally top-ranked UNC Tarheel soccer club and continues to play competitive football in his hometown's senior teams.
