Clayton D’Costa

Clayton is an Associate Partner based in the Dubai office and is the Head of the Events practice area.  

Clayton has spent over 15 years leading and advising Major Event Organising Committees around the world including the Special Olympics Abu Dhabi 2019, Baku European Games 2015, London 2012, and many others. Prior to joining Portas, he was the Director of Excellence for the National Projects Office in Abu Dhabi where he was responsible for the planning and operational readiness for several major national events and projects across the UAE including the United Arab Emirates Host Pavilion at Expo 2020.

He also has consulting experience, having held previous leadership roles at Deloitte and PA Consulting.  Clayton holds an MSc in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University, as well as an MSc in Communications and Signal Processing from Newcastle University.
